I lost my job earlier this year, and one thing led to another to have me sitting in a spare bedroom at my sister and brother-in-law’s house looking for a job, any job, in a dead-end Midwest town with zero prospects.
I’m 38. I’m sick of living in a backwards area with no future. I have no record, no issues holding me back other than being a square peg. I’m not a flag waving, gun toting, Midwest kind of guy. I need out.
The Cannabis industry, eventually leading to hemp farming, is the only thing I’ve been passionately interested in as a career dream for as long as I can remember.
Does anyone have any advice on the best way for me to pack up and go, and end up with a decent entry-level job? What state should I try for? Is there any way to put together a plan with limited resources that might lead to a happy future?
Thanks in advance for any advice offered. Feeling pretty low, and could use some hope, especially with the holiday only a few days away (I won’t be celebrating due to current situation, obviously).
